About Haven Dental
Dr. Bethany Taylor built Haven Dental to be exactly what it says — a safe haven, where people who don’t love the dentist can get excellent care in a calm, welcoming place, and never feel judged for how long it’s been or what shape their teeth are in.
Why we exist
Most people don’t enjoy going to the dentist. Some have had a painful or embarrassing experience. Some haven’t been in years and are quietly bracing for a lecture. Dr. Taylor spent years believing dentistry could feel different — and in 2022, she opened a practice built entirely around that belief.
Here, you’re a person first and a set of teeth second. You’ll be greeted by name, given straight answers, and shown exactly what’s happening in your own mouth on a screen — so you never just have to take our word for it.

The mission of Haven Dental is to show God’s love by providing compassionate dental care in a comfortable environment to help every patient achieve oral health and wellness.

Excellence isn’t a slogan here; it’s a habit. Dr. Taylor and the whole Haven Dental team invest heavily in continuing education, individually and together, so the care you receive reflects current best practices, not just how things have always been done.
Female-owned and independent
Haven Dental isn’t part of a corporate group. It’s owned and led by one dentist who answers to her patients and her team, which means the culture, the pace, and the philosophy are hers — built deliberately rather than dictated from a head office. That independence is a big part of why the practice feels the way it does.
Rooted in our community
Haven Dental has been named a Top 3 finalist for Best Dental Practice in the Toledo Blade Readers’ Choice Awards for four consecutive years — recognition that means the most because it comes from our neighbors.
Beyond the office, Dr. Taylor serves on the board of the Greater Toledo Dental Society and partners with the Community Cares Clinic to provide free dental services to people in need throughout the Toledo area. Her passion for sharing God’s love through dentistry has also taken her on international mission trips to Costa Rica and Honduras.
